Lauren has performed alongside Janeane Garofalo, and SNL’s Sasheer Zamata and Amanda Byers and placed first recently in the 2018 She Devil Comedy Festival in NYC. Her shows have been also featured in the New York Times.

Second banana JOSEPH COKER, one of the Charleston area’s top comedians, just performed at the New South Comedy Festival in Greenville. Drew Thomas, Wayne Cousins & Vince Fabra

Our third show in the Queen Street Comedy Series at the Queen Street Playhouse will feature Atlanta comedy heavyweight Drew Thomas, who appears regularly in NYC, Las Vegas, and Toronto at famous comedy clubs like Gotham Comedy Club, as well as two appearances on television’s Last Comic Standing and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Thomas is known to induce “face-hurting” laughs. He will headline a night of comedy that  will also feature two more locally-based comics.

Wayne Cousins is a Columbia-based comic that is so funny that he gives us hope for the Midlands. He’s opened for anybody and everybody good that’s come through the state’s capitol city, hosted shows, and goes out on the road all the time. Sneaky funny in the very best sense of the word.

Vince Fabra has vowed to upstage everyone else on the bill. Based in Charleston, Fabra has opened for national comics, toured to foreign countries as far away as Virginia, and can be best described as “fangry” a delightful combo of funny and angry.

Dusty Slay, Tyler Wood & Sarah Napier

Tickets: $15

Headliner: Dusty Slay may have been born in Alabama, “but I became a man in Charleston.” And he keeps on improving. From open mics in now-dead bars on Calhoun Street, Slay has parlayed his hysterical sense of humor into two years of national touring. Slay has taken the stage of “Last Comic Standing,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”, “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” and recently appeared at the prestigious “Just for Laughs Comedy Festival” in Montreal.

Showcase: Tyler Wood is a self-proclaimed “monster” who loves wrestlin’ and fast food over just about anything. Wood’s style alternates between adorably self-deprecating and monstrous (think: fuzzy, tall, flannel shirts in summer).

Feature: Sarah Napier is the local hot newcomer. Currently pregnant, and a devout cat-lady, she has gone from open mics, to traveling out of state on paid gigs, to hosting her own comedy room at Pounce cat café.
