Five Seasons: The Gardens of Piet Oudolf
Due to popularity and demand, Charleston Horticultural Society will be hosting an encore viewing of the film Five Seasons: The Gardens of Piet Oudolf at the Queen Street Playhouse on Monday Sept. 30th at 6:30pm. If you missed it the first time around or would like to attend a second viewing, tickets for CHS Members are only $5 each ($10 for non-members).
Revolutionary landscape designer Piet Oudolf is knownfor designing public works like NYC’s popular High Line and the Lurie garden in Chicago’s Millenium Park that redefine our conception of gardens as works of art in themselves. This gorgeous, meditative documentary immerses viewers in his work, taking us inside his creative process. From his aesthetic theories to his strikingly abstract sketches to the ecological implications of his ideas, the film poetically reveals how Oudolf upends conventional notions of nature, public space, and ultimately beauty itself. (run time 75 minutes)
The theatre bar will be open before and during the film for drink and snack purchases.
Only one showing available. No reservations please.
